CASA Design Architecture is a small, talented practice of Chartered Architects based in Ayrshire, Scotland.

Established in 2003, CASA has developed a reputation for high calibre design across various projects from new-build residential to commercial and community schemes; however, our primary focus is providing a customer-friendly service to homeowners looking to alter their properties.

We understand that the traditional architect's working method does not always measure up to the individual homeowner's needs. As such, CASA Design constantly endeavours to set out and agree on the exact architectural services required by a householder at the outset, allowing customers to control what they want to achieve with their project and how much they want to spend.

We aim to offer more than just a 'set of drawings' by guiding clients through the complete design and building process, working together to produce a high quality, bespoke piece of architecture.

Our portfolio of work emphasizes the diversity of design skills we can offer. We consciously avoid a prescriptive style, with each project based on rigorous analysis of the client's requirements, the site and contextual references.

The principal architect Chris Stewart has several years of experience as a Chartered Architect since qualifying from the Mackintosh School of Architecture at the University of Glasgow in 1988. He has worked in both the UK for Sir Norman Foster and Partners and abroad on many commercial, educational and residential projects.

A key element of our approach is sustainable and innovative design. CASA Design combines the best qualities of an agile, innovative team with the experience, depth and knowledge of a large practice, enabling it to undertake both small domestic work and advanced, complex projects.

Our approach to design integrates the principles of energy efficiency, which reduces a building’s ecological footprint.

We consider the current various types of micro-renewable energies available such as air source heat pumps, ground source heat pumps, photovoltaic solar panels as the primary energy alongside the basics of high-quality insulation, thermal bridging, airtightness and space heating.

The CASA Collective is a power team of consultants comprising Engineers, Cost Consultants, Planning Consultants, Landscape Designers, Kitchen Designers, Architectural Technicians and Energy Consultants who work alongside us to provide a range of experience and knowledge.
